Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to repair and maintain feed mill equipment and facilities. Work from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call as needed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with production teams. Must have 1–2 years of industrial maintenance experience and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Reading, general math, and writing skills.
• Organized and able to multi-task.
• Basic mechanical skills; knowledge of standard and metric measurements.
• 1–2 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• General knowledge of welding/fabrication.
• General knowledge of low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends.
• At least 18 years of age; legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Able to stand for extended periods; physical capability for lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment and components.
• Identify parts or machines needing replacement parts.
• Use shop math to complete tasks.
• Interpret equipment drawings for adjustments and repairs.
• Respond to mechanical issues identified by production.
• Communicate with management to diagnose problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently within time and resource constraints.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
