Job summary

BioUrja Renewables, LLC in Peoria, IL is seeking a versatile Feed Loadout Utility responsible for loading and unloading trucks, loading barges, taking samples, and maintenance of the department equipment. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and adherence to GMP and SOPs.

You will assist with lockouts, perform daily cleanups, operate mechanized equipment, and train new staff as needed. No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided; competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical skills with ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Basic process knowledge.
• Able to understand and comply with GMP and personnel practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the fellow utility to ensure department and shift objectives are accomplished
• Manual labor
• Perform daily and assigned clean up responsibilities and document as needed
• Retrieve samples from the field
• Assist with lock outs on assigned equipment
• Basic oil and greasing of equipment
• Operate mechanized equipment
• Operate locomotive
• Train employees new to position
• Perform environmental verifications and record as needed
• Load feed barges.
• Load and offload trucks and rail as needed
• Restock department as needed
• Take readings from equipment as required and document per department policy
• Completes all required documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
• Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements
• Informs supervisor and affected personnel immediately of any hazards, unsafe equipment and/or acts
• Follow standard operating procedures, temporary work instructions, and process plans
• Other similar duties as assigned
