Job summary

J.D. Heiskell & co. is seeking a Plant Operator to organize and perform daily production tasks under the Plant Manager. Responsibilities include operating the bulk feed system, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring bulk commodities flow properly through bins and receiving systems.

The role requires physical endurance, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work long hours in a challenging environment. Pre-employment screening will be conducted as part of hiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and math comprehension are helpful.
• Must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, stand long periods, and work in harsh environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate Bulk Feed manufacturing system.
• Perform scale weight tests weekly.
• Load/unload trucks and manage bulk flows.
• Dump ingredients into mixes as per formula.
• Inspect and maintain equipment including lubrication and adjustments.
• Pull bag orders for next day deliveries.
• Clean mill and control room daily.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.
