Job Summary

The student will provide tutoring to undergraduate computer science students, assist with departmental projects/research, support events and workshops, and help the department chair with administrative tasks. Ideal candidates have strong programming skills, solid academic performance, good communication, and effective time management/organizational abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tutoring for undergraduate students in core computer science subjects.
  • Assist with departmental projects and research.
  • Support the department chair with administrative tasks such as organizing meetings, preparing reports, etc.
  • Provide technical support during department workshops, events, and conferences, ensuring smooth operation of software, setting up systems, and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Strong academic performance in computer science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
