Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Overview

The Co-op assists CIT and EVT faculty in preparing lab classes and maintaining laboratory equipment. The student also assists in other areas necessary for the smooth operation of the EVT program, including preparing supplies, organizing materials, giving presentations, representing the program at college and community events, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of laboratory setups for EVT courses, including microbiology, water and wastewater technology, fluid mechanics, geology, chemistry, solid waste management, and air pollution control.
• Maintain and repair lab equipment, prepare and break down scenarios, and support off-campus offerings.
• Support program and college recruitment efforts by representing the EVT program at public events and assisting with demonstrations and tours.

Minimum Requirements

• General and field-specific computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and professionally.
• Strong rapport with peers, faculty, and others.

Additional Conditions

• If using Federal Work Study: completed FAFSA, meet Satisfactory Academic Progress, be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, and demonstrate financial need.

Compensation

$14.00 per hour
