Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking motivated students for on-campus Work-Study positions designed to fit around class schedules. Responsibilities include planning student-focused events, creating promotional content, and gathering feedback to guide advocacy initiatives.

Positions offer flexible hours, collaboration across departments, and opportunities to gain experience related to your program of study while contributing to an inclusive campus environment.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for work study funding (Financial aid).
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Must be currently enrolled, registered, and passing all classes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate student-focused events such as forums, town halls, workshops, and awareness campaigns to promote advocacy and inclusivity.
  • Develop promotional materials and social media content to increase student awareness and attendance at advocacy-related events.
  • Gather student feedback and concerns through surveys, focus groups, or informal outreach to guide event planning and advocacy efforts.
  • Serve as liaisons between students and administration, presenting student perspectives on key issues and initiatives.
  • Track and report event outcomes including attendance, engagement levels, and feedback to improve future programming.
  • Promote inclusivity and accessibility in all events and engagement strategies.

Job description

Work-Study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process. We are excited to offer an on-campus job position for college students! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experiences while balancing your academic commitments.   • Assistance with procoreted tests if necessary
  • Collaborate with campus departments and student organizations to ensure broad participation and shared goals in advocacy initiatives.
  • Develop promotional materials and social media content to increase student awareness and attendance at advocacy-related events.
  • Gather student feedback and concerns through surveys, focus groups, or informal outreach to guide event planning and advocacy efforts.
  • Serve as liaisons between students and administration, presenting student perspectives on key issues and initiatives.
  • Track and report event outcomes including attendance, engagement levels, and feedback to improve future programming.
  • Promote inclusivity and accessibility in all events and engagement strategies, ensuring all student voices are represented.
Qualifications

Eligibility for Federal Work Study Program
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester.
  • Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
  • Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file.
  • Student must demonstrate financial need.

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.

Official transcripts required upon hiring.
