Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Technical Writer to produce clear, current documentation for CBP missions based in Ashburn, Virginia. You will partner with engineers across network, cloud, and security to turn complex knowledge into usable procedures and manuals.

You will manage revision-controlled content, ensure compliance with security requirements, and deliver documents through federal review. A background in federal programs and strong markdown and Confluence skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience documenting technical systems you were not an expert in.
• Experience with federal programs and handling controlled information.
• Ability to build durable documentation standards that outlast involvement.
• Ability to coordinate with busy engineers without direct authority.
• Active CBP BI or DoD clearance is a plus.
• Proficient in Markdown, Confluence, and SharePoint; familiar with standard doc toolchains.
