Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Technical Writer responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documents covering software, hardware, operations, testing, and user manuals.

The role involves writing installation and configuration guides, end-user manuals, and developer-facing documentation, with collaboration from engineers and SMEs across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience as a technical writer in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; four years of additional TW experience may substitute for a degree.
• Active security clearance with polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for hardware and software (installation, configuration, how-to).
• Create code documentation, implementation guides, and end-user manuals; provide data flow and field documentation.
• Coordinate layout and design of documents and ensure publications meet standards.
• Work with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials across all project phases.
• Write technical copy for various document types under general direction.
