Job summary

HDR is seeking a Federal Business Group Technology Director to lead technology strategy and delivery across six Federal programs. You will collaborate with HDR leadership, Federal clients, and technology partners to define roadmaps, secure platforms, and deliver innovative digital solutions that meet compliance standards and accelerate project performance.

You will drive AI/ML initiatives, oversee security and accreditation, and guide multi-group teams toward scalable, compliant digital delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience executing projects involving technological solutions within the AEC industry for Federal clients.
• Knowledge of Federal cybersecurity frameworks and requirements including NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC, and CUI.
• Experience evaluating technology, and software development and deployment.
• Experience in digital delivery, modeling, data architecture, data management, data sciences, use of AI/ML, BIM, cloud computing, automation and integration with production software.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to find solutions that advance projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of emerging technologies relevant to Federal programs: establish performance indicators and metrics for adoption, efficiency, project quality, and business value.
• Develop and align technology visions and roadmaps for Federal Market Sectors and Delivery Teams.
• Partner with Corporate Technology to ensure Federal compliant platforms and investments (NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, CUI).
• Lead proposals for investment in technology across HDR’s Federal Group.
• Lead FBG data stewardship and coordinate with HDR Data Ops and SMEs across groups.
• Lead technology governance with a Federal compliance lens and lifecycle management.
• Promote and communicate technology strategies to Federal stakeholders to inspire adoption and maximize ROI.
• Support implementation of enterprise or shared solutions within Federal programs.
• Integrate innovation with Federal risk management and compliance and drive adoption of AI/ML and automation.
• Lead and participate in technology committees and working groups (CUI, Enclave, Digital Design Summit) within HDR.
