Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Virginia is seeking a Director of Federal Solutions Engineering to lead a team of Solutions Engineers and architect best-in-class large-scale data center solutions for federal customers.

You will coach and mentor engineers, present complex concepts to technical and executive audiences, and collaborate with sales to ensure the right product fit and seamless handoffs to delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ten or more years of experience in technology and solutions selling with proven management experience.
• U.S. citizens must be able to provide documentation verifying citizenship for federal role.
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines while supporting multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers.
• Present advanced technical concepts clearly to customers, including executives.
• Collaborate with sales to determine best product/service fit.
• Coordinate with operations to shape design and cost capture.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs to delivery.
