Job summary

Insight Global in Reston, VA is seeking an experienced Architecture leader to design and drive complex federal IT initiatives. You will guide cloud, AI/ML, and DevSecOps modernization, translating requirements into scalable architectures and partnering with researchers and developers.

The role requires extensive AWS expertise, enterprise-grade design, and a track record of leading technical teams to deliver secure, cost-aware solutions for government programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development, DevSecOps, architecture, or cloud engineering experience.
• 3+ years designing and deploying enterprise AWS applications.
• Strong AWS architecture expertise.
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled solutions.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Application modernization experience.
• Kafka or comparable message broker experience.
• Elastic Stack and/or Amazon OpenSearch experience.
• Experience leading technical teams and architecture strategy.
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions for complex federal initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure architectures.
• Lead architecture discussions across cloud, AI/ML, DevSecOps, data, and modernization efforts.
• Partner with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Development teams.
• Advise government executives on technology strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Evaluate architecture performance, security, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Support capture efforts, solutioning, and business development activities.
• Guide application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
