Garney Construction is seeking a Federal Site Safety Health Officer for a Federal Project in Phoenix, AZ. You will develop, manage, and implement the project-specific accident prevention program, ensuring compliance with Garney and federal requirements.

This role requires leadership to guide safety training, inspections, and incident investigations on site. You will administer the safety program, prepare project safety plans, and communicate a clear vision for safe work areas while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field
• 5+ years' construction safety experience required; BCSP certification a plus
• Minimum 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training within 3 years or equivalent
• Average of 24 hours of formal safety training per year for past 5 years
• Extensive knowledge of Fall Protection standards per EM385-1-1
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach, mentor and lead on site
• Ability to work 50+ hours/week including nights/weekends when needed
• Independent judgment to manage safety programs and policies

Responsabilités

• Administer and manage Garney safety program to meet safety goals
• Prepare and approve project safety plans per federal and project specs
• Develop safe work areas; conduct initial work area assessments and trainings
• Supervise and coordinate safety professionals on the project
• Develop and implement safety programs meeting standards
• Conduct jobsite inspections and audits; document findings
• Investigate near misses, accidents, and incidents; complete reporting
