Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead integrated physical security projects for Federal Government agencies in the Chicago area.

You will drive start-up through commissioning, ensure adherence to contractual obligations, and maintain strong customer relationships across field teams and subcontractors. The role requires coordinating schedules, billing, and close-out activities while maintaining safety, quality, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience (preferred in physical security)
• 3–5 years of construction, electrical, or security systems integration experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV (analog/IP), intercom, and intrusion systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide daily functional management for installed and service projects
• Monitor SLA schedules and coordinate work from start-up to final acceptance
• Review contracts and schedule requirements for procurement and subcontractor coordination
• Direct employees and subcontractors on projects and manage day-to-day execution
• Maintain project records, changes, and close-out analyses
• Build communication between customers, engineering, and on-site trades
• Support sales with proposal and contract preparation for large systems
• Ensure timely billing for installation and monthly services
• Provide weekly status reports to customers on all open projects
