Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead integrated physical security projects for Federal Government customers. You will oversee installation, service, and commissioning from start to close, ensuring contract compliance, profitability, and strong customer relations.

Key responsibilities include coordinating field execution, managing schedules, supporting billing, and partnering with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain progress and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in physical security.
• Experience with access control, CCTV (analog/IP), intercoms, and intrusion systems is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong judgment and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily functional management for assigned installation and service projects.
• Monitor schedules and coordinate work from start-up through commissioning and final acceptance.
• Review contracts and schedule requirements to support procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Direct employees and subcontractors on projects and manage day-to-day execution.
• Maintain project records, changes, material flow, and close-out analyses.
• Build effective communication between customers, engineering, and on-site teams.
• Support sales with proposal and contract preparation for large systems.
• Ensure on-time billing and accurate project status reporting.
• Own project execution with safety, quality, schedule, and profitability in focus.
• Coordinate field activity from planning to close-out.
