Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Field Project Manager to oversee integrated physical security projects for Federal Government agencies. You will manage installation and service lifecycles from start-up through commissioning, ensuring contract compliance, profitability, and solid customer relationships.

Responsibilities include coordinating field execution, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor oversight, and close-out activities, while maintaining safety, quality, and on-time delivery within SLA.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in physical security (preferred)
• 3–5 years in construction, electrical, electronic security, or systems integration (preferred)
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV (analog and IP), intercom, and intrusion systems (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload
• Must be self-motivated and organized
• Strong PC skills (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation)
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in related fields; certifications PMP/CSPM/PSP/CPP within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide daily functional management for assigned installation and service projects.
• Monitor SLA schedules and coordinate tasks from start-up to check-out and final acceptance.
• Review contracts and schedule requirements for procurement, materials, and subcontractor coordination.
• Direct employees and subcontractors on projects and manage day-to-day execution.
• Maintain project records, changes, material flow, reports, and close-out analyses.
• Build effective communication between customers, engineering, technical support, and on-site trades.
• Support sales with proposals and contract preparation for large systems.
• Provide feedback to Technical Services and Engineering Management for quality improvements.
• Ensure accurate billing for installation and monthly services within SLA.
• Provide weekly status reports to customers on all open projects.
