Job summary

USATII is seeking Federal Security & ATO Engineers to lead cybersecurity engineering and support the security authorization process for the DART platform.

You will work directly with government cybersecurity personnel, system owners, information-system security officers, technical assessors, and USATII's engineering teams to ensure that DART's security controls are appropriate for its intended federal operating environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, cloud security, or federal information-system authorization.
• Experience implementing or assessing NIST SP 800-53 controls within federal production systems.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and federal high-impact information systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical preparation for DART's federal authorization process, including system boundary definition and control implementation.
• Translate NIST SP 800-53 controls into concrete engineering tasks and configurations.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and evidence for assessments.
• Evaluate DART's architecture across apps, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure for security.
• Coordinate remediation and engage government stakeholders throughout authorization.
• Establish continuous monitoring procedures for vulnerabilities and configurations.
