Job summary

Arlo Solutions is seeking a Security Control Assessor for a temporary assignment in Arlington, VA. The role evaluates and enhances DSCA information system security, aligning with federal standards such as NIST and DoD directives.

You will produce SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms, and lead continuous monitoring and A&A activities. The candidate should have 5+ years in information security, a US citizenship, and a Secret clearance, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field; master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of information security experience with focus on security control assessment and risk management.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CAP, or equivalent desirable.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations and standards (NIST SP 800-series, FISMA).
• Experience conducting security control assessments and developing assessment documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security control assessments of DSCA information systems and networks to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Perform risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
• Collaborate with system owners, IT staff, and cybersecurity teams for effective implementation.
• Conduct continuous monitoring to ensure ongoing policy compliance.
• Guide A&A process, including SSP development and maintenance.
• Assist in cybersecurity training and awareness programs.
• Stay current with threats and technologies to improve methodologies.
• Participate in security audits and reviews.
