Job summary

Arlo Solutions is seeking a Security Control Assessor to evaluate security controls for DSCA information systems. The role requires delivering SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms, performing risk assessments, and guiding A&A processes.

The candidate must hold an active Secret clearance and have 5+ years in information security. The position will involve collaboration with system owners and IT staff to ensure compliant control implementation and continuous monitoring while staying current with cybersecurity

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Hold a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in information security with focus on security control assessment and risk management.
• CISSP, CISM, CISA, CAP or equivalent desirable.
• Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800 series and FISMA.
• Experience conducting security control assessments and developing SAPs/SARs/POA&Ms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security control assessments of DSCA information systems to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
• Provide detailed recommendations to mitigate risks and improve security posture.
• Collaborate with system owners, IT staff, and cybersecurity teams for effective control implementation.
• Perform continuous monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with security policies.
• Guide on A&A processes, including SSPs development and maintenance.
• Assist in cybersecurity training and awareness for DSCA personnel.
• Stay updated on threats and trends to improve assessment methodologies.
• Participate in security audits and reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
