Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Architect to join our Federal Buildings team in a hybrid role. The Project Architect will coordinate, develop, and produce deliverables for architectural design within a multidisciplinary team and government contracts, including DoD and other federal agencies.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and process improvement, with a focus on delivering practical, safe, and aesthetically compelling design within budget and schedule. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Citizen requirements for U.S. work authorization.
• NAAB-accredited architecture degree required; Master’s preferred.
• At least 4 years of architectural design experience.
• Proficiency in REVIT and standard Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts as part of a multi-disciplinary team (electrical, structural, mechanical, etc.).
• Act as Designer of Record for architectural projects, including schedule, budget, and QA/QC.
• Coordinate drawings and specifications; manage BIM data and file organization.
• Oversee project deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness within budget.
• Develop staff through mentoring and quality-control reviews at milestones.
• Support construction administration and field investigations, RFIs, and submittals.
