Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Architect to coordinate and produce architectural deliverables for federal facilities, leading a multi-disciplinary design team in a hybrid work setting. You will manage budgets, schedules and BIM data, and ensure high-quality construction documents for complex projects.

As a senior member, you will perform construction administration, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with stakeholders nationwide while upholding Jacobs' standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a NAAB-accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least 5 years of architectural design experience.
• Overseas & US based travel may be required.
• Proficiency in REVIT and standard Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects with a multi-disciplinary team including electrical, structural, mechanical, civil, interiors, and fire protection engineers.
• Serve as Designer of Record (DOR) for architectural design projects, managing schedule, budget, and delegation of work.
• Gather information from stakeholders, conduct studies, and prepare rough layouts and sketches.
• Coordinate drawings and specifications and develop contract documents.
• Organize BIM data and implement strategies for project sheet delivery.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with the project team and clients.
• Perform construction administration and field investigations, including RFIs and submittals.
• Provide staffing development and mentoring for junior staff; conduct quality control reviews.
