Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Architect to lead coordination, development, and production of architectural deliverables for U.S. Federal projects. You will own schedule, budget, and quality control as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, with a mix of studio and remote work.

The role requires self-motivation and ability to collaborate across disciplines in a hybrid environment. Responsibilities include acting as Designer of Record, coordinating drawings and specifications,

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from NAAB‑accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least 5 years of architectural design experience.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Proficiency in standard Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Designer of Record for architectural design projects including schedule, budget, delegation of work to junior staff, quality control and sealing/stamping construction drawings and specifications.
• Gather information, interview stakeholders, make studies, and prepare original rough layouts and sketches as required.
• Responsible for technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project.
• Develops specifications and is responsible for coordination of drawings and specifications.
• Supports Building Information Model (BIM) data organization and sheet planning for each stage of the work.
• Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team.
• Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks including RFIs and Submittals.
