Axon is seeking a Director of Federal Policy in Washington, DC to act as the strategic quarterback of Axon's federal engagement, mapping assets and driving a coordinated approach with key agencies.

This role sits in the legal organization and partners with the business and executives, using expertise and relationships to advance policy that supports Axon's mission to protect life. You will engage regularly with Axon's executive team and external partners to ensure alignment and impact.

Mansioni

• Drive federal strategy. Develop and own a multi-year federal government affairs strategy aligned with Axon's priorities across the executive branch and relevant Congressional committees to support policy goals.
• Map Axon's federal relationships—internal champions, external advisors, agency partners, Hill contacts—and build a living picture of assets and gaps.
• Coordinate policy engagement across Axon's legal, communications, product, sales and executive teams to ensure unified, strategic effort.
• Build and maintain a high-quality network of senior officials, Congressional staff, and relevant organizations; know where interests overlap with Axon's mission.
• Bring fluency in how law enforcement adopts technology and how Hill/White House policy can support the community.
• Ensure all federal engagement meets the highest ethical and compliance standards.
• Direct and coordinate external government affairs firms to align across all federal engagement activities.
• Track legislative, regulatory, and executive developments and translate them into actionable intelligence for internal decision-makers.
• Represent Axon externally as a credible policy voice.
