Job summary

Apex Systems seeks a Federal Platform Engineer in Loveland, CO to own the infrastructure and day-two operations of the agentic AI platform. You will drive cloud-native infra via IaC (Terraform), manage Kubernetes clusters (GPU nodes, Istio/service mesh), and implement GitOps with Flux/Argo CD.

Requirements include TS/SCI clearance and experience in U.S. Federal/DoD environments, with cloud and security-focused engineering practices. Remote work is available.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.
  • Security+ or equivalent certificate for privileged access.
  • 5+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • 3+ years managing production Kubernetes environments.
  • 3+ years with Flux (or Argo CD) and authoring/maintaining Helm charts.
  • Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience operating in U.S. Federal/DoD environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end lifecycle of the platform from IaC provisioning to day-two operations.
  • Bridge cloud-native engineering with AI/LLM workloads for secure, scalable environments.
  • Implement Kubernetes orchestration, GPU orchestration, and observability pipelines.
