Job summary

Noblis is seeking a highly skilled TIS Security Engineer to safeguard the FAA’s FTI environment with architecture-level oversight. You will drive secure network designs, review configurations, and advocate defense-in-depth strategies across complex systems.

You’ll work with FAA cyber stakeholders, ensure compliance with NIST RMF and FISMA, and help transition technologies while maintaining strong risk-based security. Remote/hybrid status is subject to change.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government programs (FAA or transportation preferred).
• Hands-on network engineering or architecture with boundary protection and firewall know-how.
• Familiarity with IPv4/IPv6, WAN/LAN, and security configurations.
• Understanding of NIST RMF, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 rev 5.
• Ability to craft system security plans and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assess and guide network architecture for security integration from ground up.
• Review system configurations, firewall rules, and network paths for compliance with standards.
• Lead transitions (IPv4 to IPv6, microwave refreshes) from cybersecurity and architecture views.
• Support Zero Trust, SDN, and defense-in-depth in enterprise solutions.
• Bridge FAA cyber stakeholders with infrastructure providers and vendors.
• Evaluate architectures and recommend based on federal policy and best practices.
