Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Federal Mine Remediation Lead to be based out of any western US location. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on building and leading a Mine remediation group, supporting business development and project execution with strong regulatory expertise.

Ideal candidates bring major project delivery experience, leadership of technical teams, and proficiency in CERCLA-based remediation, regulatory submissions, and client relationship management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental) or science disciplines +8 years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Mine remedial solutions for clients in public and private sectors meeting regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate diverse technical teams to meet technical and regulatory requirements.
• Review work plans and cost estimates, interpret data, and evaluate remediation/closure technologies.
• Technical and financial management of projects to meet budget, quality and schedule.
• Development of proposals, project teams and cost estimates.
• Delivery of projects, and technical review of reports for regulatory submission (e.g., studies, remediation and closure plans, permit applications, management plans).
• Periodically attending site visits to proposed, operating or closed mines in support of client relationship building, proposal development and project delivery.
• Business-development activities, including building and maintaining existing and new client relationships, tracking marketing leads and project opportunities, developing proposals and presentations, networking, attending conferences and sharing AECOM’s capabilities with existing and potential clients.
• Stakeholder communications, including regulatory communications and client advocacy.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science disciplines

Master’s degree or 20+ years of experience
