Job summary

Centre Law & Consulting (Centre) has a vacancy for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant II to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). You will assist in reviewing case material, preparing digests, and organizing exhibits, while helping draft correspondence and research reports.

Candidates must have a paralegal certificate or a HS diploma with at least two years in a law office or government setting, and strong MS Office, research, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or HS diploma with at least two years of related experience in a law office or government setting.
• Proficiency in legal research and standard legal citation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including legal writing.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and databases; familiarity with research tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney in reviewing case material and preparing digests with legal references.
• Draft, edit and review non-legal information and prepare reports.
• Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and creating statistical charts and photos.
• Interview potential witnesses and prepare summary reports.
• Review legal documents for citations and references; attend pre-trial meetings.
