Job summary

Centre Law & Consulting (Centre) seeks a Paralegal/Legal Assistant II to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) in federal matters. You will review case materials, draft correspondence, organize exhibits, interview witnesses, and prepare trial summaries. Strong research and MS Office skills are required; U.S.

citizenship and a background check are mandatory. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy under pressure, and adherence to federal processes.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate; or HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years in law office/government setting
• Trial and automated litigation support experience preferred
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent written and oral communication; legal writing
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and legal research tools
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
• U.S. Citizenship and background check requirement

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney in reviewing case material and preparing digests with legal references
• Draft, edit, and review non-legal information and research reports
• Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and creating charts/photos
• Interview potential witnesses and prepare summaries
• Review documents for proper citations and references
• Attend pre-trial meetings to identify missing information
• Summarize testimony and depositions post-trial
• Investigate facts and laws and research public records for case preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned
