Job summary

Centre Law & Consulting is seeking a Paralegal/Legal Assistant II to support the United States Attorney's Office mission in El Paso, TX. The role focuses on reviewing case material, drafting correspondence, organizing exhibits, and preparing summaries of testimony and depositions.

Candidates should have a Paralegal Certificate or a high school diploma with related experience, strong legal research abilities, and excellent communication and organizational skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or High School Diploma with at least two years of related legal experience.
• Trial and automated litigation support experience preferred.
• Ability to grasp and understand the customer organization and functions.
• Knowledge of basic legal research and standard legal citation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organization and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney by reviewing case material and preparing digests of decisions and references.
• Draft, edit, and review non-legal information and prepare correspondence and research reports.
• Organize exhibits and prepare for trial, including charts and photographs.
• Interview potential witnesses and prepare summary reports of interviews.
• Review legal documents for citations and references and attend pre-trial meetings.
