Job summary

FSA Federal is seeking a Paralegal/Legal Assistant II to support the USAO mission. The role involves reviewing case material, preparing digests with legal references, and assisting attorneys with trial preparation.

Responsibilities include drafting correspondence, organizing exhibits, interviewing witnesses, and verifying citations. Requires paralegal certification or equivalent experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or HS Diploma with 2+ years in a law office/government setting.
• Trial and automated litigation support experience preferred.
• Ability to understand customer organization and functions.
• Strong legal research and citation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication including legal writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney in reviewing case material and preparing digests with legal references.
• Draft, edit, and review non-legal information and prepare correspondence and reports.
• Organize exhibits and assist in creating statistical charts and photos for trial.
• Interview potential witnesses and prepare summary reports.
• Review legal documents for accurate citations and references.
• Attend pre-trial meetings to identify missing material and request further info.
• Prepare summaries of testimony and depositions.
