Job summary

FSA Federal in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant II to support the U.S. Attorney's Office.

You will review case materials, draft documents, organize exhibits, and assist with trial preparation while handling witness interviews and legal research under tight deadlines. This role requires US citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year background investigation; strong communication, organization, and teamwork in a demanding environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience in law office/government setting.
• Trial and automated litigation support experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney in reviewing case material and preparing digests with legal references.
• Draft, edit, and review non-legal information and prepare correspondence/reports.
• Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and creating charts/photos.
• Interview witnesses and prepare summary interview reports.
• Review legal documents for citations and references.
• Attend pre-trial meetings to gather missing documents and clarify materials.
• Summarize testimonies and depositions after/during trial.
• Investigate facts, Laws, and public records to build cases.
