Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a collaborative Mid-Level Scrum Master to support Agile teams delivering software modernization for a federal program. You will facilitate Scrum events, coach teams, remove impediments, and promote transparency in a complex environment.

You will partner with the Product Owner, stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams, uphold the Definition of Done, and monitor progress with Agile metrics while ensuring compliance with federal governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting Agile software development.
• At least two (2) years serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
• Experience coaching teams on Scrum events and empirical delivery practices.
• Ability to work with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum events including sprint planning, daily Scrum, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Coach team members on Agile values, Scrum practices, self-management, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with the Product Owner to support clear sprint goals and a transparent backlog.
• Identify and help remove impediments; escalate issues as needed.
• Protect the team from disruptions while promoting productive engagement with stakeholders and dependent teams.
• Monitor sprint progress, risks, and delivery trends using Agile metrics and boards.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and support release planning and testing readiness.
• Maintain Definition of Done and data-informed retrospectives for improvement actions.
• Ensure alignment with federal governance requirements and EPLC when applicable.
