Job summary

Kearney & Company seeks an IT Risk Senior Consultant to join our federal advisory practice and lead client engagements, develop executive relationships, and identify new opportunities in IT risk, governance, and compliance. The role focuses on delivering IT risk and controls expertise across ERP, cloud, and financial systems modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT risk consulting, technology advisory, internal IT audit, IT compliance, financial systems, cybersecurity governance, or related consulting services.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex engagements and multidisciplinary teams in a client-facing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior client executives and decision‑makers.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent.
• Ability to work onsite at client locations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from opportunity development through delivery with high-quality outcomes.
• Provide strategic IT governance and risk guidance for federal clients.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure quality and delivery.
• Develop trusted executive relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead or support capture, proposals, and business development activities.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and industry events.
