Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an IT Senior Associate in the Risk Advisory Services team to help organizations navigate technology risk while enabling business growth. You will evaluate IT controls, risk management programs, and the supporting infrastructure across networks, cloud platforms, databases, and enterprise apps.

You will also lead client discussions and mentor junior staff while delivering value across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Accounting, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT risk assessments identifying technology, operational, cybersecurity, and compliance risks and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Execute IT internal audits and evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls and related controls.
• Support SOX readiness and 404 compliance initiatives including access, change management, and system development lifecycle controls.
• Evaluate IT governance structures, policies, third-party risk practices, and controls using COSO, COBIT, and NIST frameworks.
• Assess cybersecurity governance and risks with cloud, AI, automation, BCP/DR, and emerging tech.
• Lead client walkthroughs, interviews, meetings, and status discussions while managing timelines, budgets, and reporting deliverables.
• Advise on scaling systems, processes, and risk management to support growth and resilience.
• Build trusted client relationships, support engagement planning and quality reviews, and mentor associates.
