Job summary

Kearney & Company is seeking an IT Risk Senior Consultant to lead federal IT risk engagements, develop executive relationships, and expand client opportunities across governance, controls, and cybersecurity initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years in IT risk consulting, ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary teams, and the capability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Expect on-site work across the Washington, DC metro area with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of IT risk consulting or related experience.
• Proven experience leading complex engagements and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong relationships with senior client executives and decision-makers.
• Expertise in IT governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance.
• Experience with ITGCs, BPACs, IT audits, and regulatory evaluations.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent.
• Ability to work onsite across the Washington, DC metropolitan area and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements, drive delivery quality, and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Advise federal clients on IT risk, governance, controls, and technology transformation.
• Develop executive relationships, pursue new opportunities, and grow accounts.
• Oversee IT control assessments, audits, and compliance evaluations.
• Present remediation strategies, POA&Ms, and long-term control improvements.
• Support ERP, cloud migrations, and digital transformation while embedding governance and risk.
