Job summary

StraitSys is seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist/Officer to support the FBI in Quantico, VA. The role focuses on evaluating and advising on documentation, validation, and accreditation to ensure IT systems meet IA and security requirements.

You will lead in risk treatment, compliance, and monitoring from internal and external perspectives. You will manage RMF/ATO activities, develop security artifacts, and mentor staff on best practices while coordinating with leadership to align

Qualifications

• Experience with NIST RMF and federal accreditation processes.
• Ability to develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Contingency Plans and POA&Ms.
• Familiarity with Authorization to Operate (ATO) requirements and associated documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary cybersecurity representative for IT security programs and compliance.
• Identify gaps and risk in the IT security landscape and provide actionable recommendations.
• Oversee RMF/DIACAP-based accreditation activities and ATO for LD systems and assets.
• Design and implement cybersecurity artifacts and controls.
• Mentor staff on IT security best practices and technology.
• Manage the ATO process and security documentation lifecycle.
• Conduct security testing and audit log reviews to validate controls.
