Job summary

StraitSys Inc. seeks an Information Systems Security Specialist/Officer to support the FBI in Quantico, VA. You will evaluate, advise, and support documentation, validation, and accreditation to ensure IT systems meet IA and security requirements.

Responsible for risk treatment and compliance from internal and external perspectives. The role requires deep knowledge of RMF, ATO processes, and security controls, with guidance across cybersecurity, engineering, T&E, and SCA disciplines.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of NIST RMF and government accreditation processes.
• Experience in vulnerability and risk assessment and security implementation.
• Ability to design and evaluate security controls and documentation.
• Familiarity with ATO processes and security authorization.
• Strong writing and communication skills for SSPs and related docs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary cybersecurity representative for compliance and reporting.
• Identify gaps and risks in IT security landscape and provide recommendations.
• Support RMF/ATO requirements, including legal aspects and DOJ/FBI guidance.
• Lead in migration and cloud security design, including artifacts and policies.
• Mentor staff on IT and cybersecurity best practices and processes.
