Job summary

Peraton is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support a Federal Intelligence Community customer in Washington, DC. The role requires elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements to enable enterprise IT capabilities, governance, and modernization initiatives.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, architecture teams, and the PMO to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and strategic objectives, in a complex federal environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD; 12 years with HS diploma.
• U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Q/SCI.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience developing business process models, workflows, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead business requirements elicitation sessions with IC stakeholders to identify, analyze, validate, and document requirements.
• Define project scope, objectives, processes, and operational needs supporting enterprise IT initiatives.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into high-quality documentation.
• Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT governance and project lifecycle management.
• Assist PMO in establishing governance frameworks, project oversight, reporting standards, and decision support mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure alignment with architecture, standards, and modernization objectives.
• Support development and maintenance of policies implementing enterprise IT governance.
• Coordinate across multiple government directorates to improve business integration and cross-organizational coordination.
• Evaluate current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements to increase efficiency and mission effectiveness.
• Support project portfolio management by assessing priorities, resources, risks, dependencies, schedules, and alignment.
• Provide project oversight related to budget, governance compliance, and program performance.
• Capture and decompose both functional and non-functional requirements into actionable specs.
• Support acquisition planning and technology modernization within strategic roadmaps.
• Participate in Agile, Hybrid Agile, or Waterfall delivery methodologies as required.
• Coordinate across multiple teams and mission stakeholders for successful execution.
• Perform cross-functional support across IC organizations as priorities evolve.
