CohnReznick is seeking a Federal IT Audit - Manager in the Bethesda area to lead audit teams serving federal entities and to drive technology risk assessments and IT controls testing. The role emphasizes adherence to federal standards, strong project management, and client liaison responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in a related field, a CISA or CISSP, a secret clearance or higher, and at least 5 years of federal IT audit experience across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT audit teams supporting federal financial statement audits, performance audits, examination, agreed-upon procedures, and standalone IT audit engagements evaluating technology risks and controls
• Understand federal IT audit requirements and methodologies (FISCAM, FISMA, NIST, GAO, COBIT)
• Apply project management to track success metrics and team performance
• Report status, issues, and delays to leadership and clients timely
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members
• Cultivate relationships with clients, auditees, and team members
• Lead sales and business development by identifying opportunities and supporting go-to-market strategies

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Federal IT Audit - Manager to join the team in our Bethesda office. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.

• Lead IT audit teams supporting federal financial statement audits, performance audits, examination, agreed-upon procedures, and standalone IT audit engagements by evaluating technology risks, IT controls, and cybersecurity controls supporting federal systems
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of federal IT audit requirements and methodologies, as well as applicable standards and control frameworks, including FISCAM, FISMA, NIST standards, and publications, GAO Government Auditing Standards, and COBIT
• Applies strong project management skills by tracking success metrics, promoting efficient and productive team performance, and reinforcing engagement-specific best practices
• Reports status, issues, and delays to leadership and clients timely
• Provides consistent coaching, mentoring, and training to team members (on technical and professional matters)
• Cultivates strong professional relationships and functions as the main liaison and trusted advisor for clients, auditees, and team members alike
• Leads sales and business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, supporting marketing strategy execution, cross-selling services across business lines, and using professional networks to shape go-to-market strategies

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

• BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology or related field
• CISA or CISSP certification
• Secret clearance or higher required
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience performing and leading federal IT audit engagements in accordance with applicable federal requirements
• Experience overseeing contract support operations, including supporting multiple projects and teams of personnel across various locations
• Hands on experience performing IT audits, IT risk assessments, or cybersecurity assessments
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management concepts, and common cybersecurity frameworks
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and other responsibilities concurrently

In Maryland, the salary range for a Advisory Manager is $115,000 to $155,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
