Job summary

Steinberg Hart is seeking a Federal-specific Interior Designer with NAVFAC experience to lead multiple interior design projects in a fast-paced environment. You will develop solutions for government and DoD facilities, guiding design through all phases and coordinating with large project teams.

The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and ensuring documentation aligns with BIM standards while upholding sustainable design practices.

Qualifications

Six (6) years of experience in the design and documentation of interiors projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
NCIDQ Certification with strong grasp of ADA and life safety requirements.
NAVFAC Interiors experience.
LEED or WELL accreditation preferred.
Experience in interior design, documentation and detailing on every phase of a project.

Responsibilities

Develop design solutions for Public, Government, and Department of Defense projects across multiple interiors projects.
Lead design through programming, concept, design, and documentation.
Prepare space plans, elevations, sections, FF&E details, and design presentations.
Coordinate with project teams and support internal business development.
Ensure construction documents align with design intent and BIM standards.
