Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a Federal Infrastructure Specialist with an active TS/SCI clearance to lead design and delivery of inside and outside plant infrastructure for secure federal environments around Washington, DC. The role emphasizes site surveys, solution engineering, and transition management from discovery to implementation.

Qualifications

• Active, verifiable TS/SCI clearance.
• 6–8 years in telecommunications infrastructure, structured cabling, and OSP/ISP design/delivery.
• Site surveys experience documenting conditions and actionable upgrade recommendations.
• Experience building infrastructure in SCIFs, data centers, or secure DoD/federal facilities.
• Expert knowledge of fiber optics (single/multi-mode), OSP civils, ISP enclosures, and Cat 6/6A.
• Proficiency interpreting engineering designs, GIS maps, and construction drawings.
• Excellent communication with customers, project leads, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead issue resolution and remediation onsite.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and subcontractors; escalate as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive site surveys of existing infrastructure and cabling.
• Design robust ISP/OSP infrastructure and detailed plans.
• Transition projects from survey to implementation efficiently.
• Ensure OSHA, BICSI, TIA/EIA and federal standards compliance.
• Oversee project delivery aligned with milestones and security protocols.
