TS/SCI Wireless Engineer - Onsite Network Design

Job summary

Beyond SOF seeks a Wireless Engineer to support a large federal network environment in a fully onsite role. You will plan, design, develop, install, modify, and test networks and applications across multiple enclaves with varying classifications. A TS clearance is required or eligible.

You will work with servers, workstations, and devices, advise on implementations, resolve problems, and conduct compliance testing. Strong WLAN, Cisco, and security tool experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing wireless solutions.
• Experience with WLAN topologies: indoor, outdoor, high-density, campus, mesh, remote, and industrial.
• Experience with WLAN survey tools for Active, Passive, and AP on a Stick surveys.
• Experience with Spectrum Analyzer tools.
• Experience with AAA and identity-based access solutions for WLAN deployments.
• Experience with wireless intrusion detection and prevention systems (WIDS/WIPS).
• Understanding of Cisco switching and ability to troubleshoot basic AP connectivity issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot wireless client devices and monitor various WLAN technologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, install, modify, and test networks and applications.
• Translate designs into fully functioning, architecturally compliant networks or systems.
• Work with servers, workstations, and programmable devices; advise on implementations.
• Provide problem resolution, compliance testing and design recommendations.
• Work hands-on with networking equipment for configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and users in a support role on projects.
