Job summary

Workday is seeking an Infrastructure Cybersecurity Engineer to support U.S. Federal Government contracts. The role requires TS/SCI with CI polygraph and may require on-site in the DC/VA/MD area.

You will design, deploy and operate security tooling across cloud platforms, develop with standard languages, and help service teams defend the threat landscape. The position emphasizes vulnerability management, automation and scalable security controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux operating systems or containers.
• Experience with development/scripting/automation language.
• Knowledge of cloud security, AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of threat modeling, security policy, NIST 800-53 security standards and functional requirements.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Knowledge of REST API and HTTP protocol.
• Experience with container security.
• Knowledge of common encryption functions and authorization schemas.
• DoD 8570/8140 compliant with at least IAT Level II and CE credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and operate security tooling, and provide consulting to service teams.
• Develop using industry-standard languages and improve toolchains.
• Work across public and private clouds to strengthen infrastructure security and capabilities.
