Job summary

World Wide Technology seeks a Federal Infrastructure Specialist with an active TS/SCI clearance to perform assessments, designs, and delivery of large-scale ISP/OSP infrastructure in secure federal environments across the Washington, DC Metro area. This role requires strong onsite leadership, issue resolution, and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 6-8 years in telecommunications infrastructure and OSP/ISP design and delivery
• Experience delivering infrastructure within SCIFs or secure DoD/federal facilities
• Expert knowledge of fiber optics (single/multi-mode, splicing, testing) and OSP civils (trenching, boring, aerial)
• Proficient in ISP spaces (enclosures, patch panels) and Cat 6/6A infrastructure
• Able to interpret engineering designs, GIS maps, splicing matrices and construction drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers, project leads, and subcontractors

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve onsite technical and logistical issues.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with customers, project leads, and subcontractors.
• Conduct comprehensive site surveys to document existing infrastructure and gaps.
• Design ISP/OSP infrastructure solutions including fiber, copper backbone, and structured cabling.
• Lead the transition from survey and design phases into implementation.
• Enforce OSHA, BICSI, TIA/EIA and federal standards; maintain logs and reports.
• Oversee project execution from planning through implementation, aligning with milestones and security protocols.
