Job summary

AGE Solutions LLC is actively seeking experienced Field Engineers to support a federal telecom infrastructure refresh in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on structured cabling (Cat6 and fiber) in secure environments, with night shifts and onsite requirements.

Candidates should have DoD clearance and hands-on experience with BICSI standards, testing, and documentation. Relocation within commutable distance or onsite presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Minimum 2 years telecommunications infrastructure experience.
• Experience installing/supporting structured cabling in federal environments.
• Familiar with Cat6 copper and fiber optic install, termination, testing.
• Knowledge of telecom rooms, MDFs, and IDFs.
• Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to analyze telecom drawings and installation documentation.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and test Cat6 and fiber cabling per standards.
• Install telecommunications infrastructure: patch panels, racks, enclosures.
• Construct/repair pathways and manage cable trays.
• Read telecom drawings and installation documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs, and government personnel.
• Support cutovers, migrations, and MDF/IDF upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with security and safety requirements.
• Maintain installation documentation and inventory.
