Job summary

Leidos, part of the NISC IV program, seeks a Human Resource Assistant with federal payroll experience to support the FAA’s AHR Pay and Leave branch. The role involves performing routine HR tasks under close supervision and using automated tools to process actions and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalence.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of union contracts.
• Experience with federal payroll, types of federal leave, and leave audits.
• Knowledge of clerical procedures used to perform the work.
• Federal agency experience.

Responsibilities

• Process a broad range of personnel actions including accessions, separations, pay changes, and benefits forms.
• Liaise between FAA and the DOI Payroll Operations Division to input and process actions.
• Review BUS reports for enrollments in the bargaining unit and timely updates.
• Support the Wednesday timekeeper notification process to resolve pay issues before final calculations.
• Handle pay and non-pay actions across multiple pay systems (GS, WS, Core Compensation, AT Pay Plan).
• Advise HRSDs, LR, and regional counsels during third-party settlements and back pay actions.
• Monitor and manage PLS folders for regions served by OKC.
• Review and process Change of Station emails and tax communications.
• Work independently and with team to meet deadlines and escalate when needed.
• Foster collaboration and communicate effectively with team members.
