Goodwill Legacy Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain grounds at a federal facility under the AbilityOne program. The role emphasizes safety, high standards, and reliable performance in outdoor maintenance.

The position involves mowing, trimming, snow removal, and operating landscaping equipment to keep grounds well-kept and compliant with contract requirements.

Formación

• Degree and credentials are not required; candidates with capability and transferable experience are valued.
• Follows current industry standards of quality, productivity, and safety.
• Communicates well, listens, and follows written work-related documents.
• Capable of carrying out simple one- or two-step instructions in standard situations.
• Recognizes risks and follows safety protocols.
• Familiar with operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, hedge trimmers, and weed eaters.
• Performs basic math to mix chemicals and calculate quantities.

Responsabilidades

• Mows, cuts, and waters lawns.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape growth and remove damaged leaves.
• Plants and cares for grass and flowers.
• Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
• Removes weeds and applies pesticides and herbicides as needed.
• Rakes and disposes of leaves and debris.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Cleans drainage ditches and culverts.
• Sharpens tools such as mower blades and edging tools.
• Performs snow removal including salting, shoveling, and snow blowing.
• Communicates with Goodwill leadership and customers as needed.
