Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds and property at a federal facility in Indianapolis. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, edging, plant care, and snow removal, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The role supports AbilityOne program operations and requires practical labor skills, reliable communication, and the ability to lift 25-50 pounds and work in varying conditions. Hours are Monday–Friday, with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• No formal degree required; capability shown through experience.
• Industry standards in safety, quality, and productivity are followed.
• Clear communication and teamwork are essential for success.
• Basic labor skills with ability to follow simple instructions.
• Safety awareness and adherence to protocols are mandatory.
• Familiarity with landscaping equipment is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, water lawns, and maintain grounds.
• Prune shrubs/trees and remove damaged growth.
• Plant and care for grass and flowers; edge walks and beds.
• Rake leaves, remove debris, and clean grounds.
• Operate and sharpen landscaping tools; perform snow removal.
• Coordinate with leadership and subcontractors to meet contract scope.
