Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions, LLC is seeking a General Surgeon for a locum assignment in northeastern Arizona. The candidate will cover Monday-Friday with optional call, handling 2-8 procedures daily and performing colonoscopy/EGD, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy, among others.

Must be able to perform scopes and hold an active, unrestricted license; travel and lodging are arranged. Travel support and credentialing assistance are provided, along with malpractice coverage and access

Qualifications

• Must hold active, unrestricted medical license in any state.
• Able to perform endoscopies (EGD) and laparoscopic procedures.
• Locum/general surgery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgical care and locum coverage as assigned.
• Perform colonoscopy/EGD, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, and other common cases.
• Coordinate with facility staff and adhere to the schedule; manage perioperative care.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3:30p or 8a-5p with call
• Daily Volume: 2-8 procedures
• Common Cases: Colonoscopy/EGD, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, lumps/bumps, and infections
• Must be able to perform scopes
• Paid travel & expenses
• Any active, unrestricted state license accepted
