Job summary

Global Medical Staffing is seeking a trauma/general surgeon to cover adult patients in Sierra Vista, AZ. The assignment involves 24-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday with a 30-minute call response time and requires experience in trauma and laparoscopic surgery as well as GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and hernia repair.

Inpatient and outpatient rounding for adult patients is expected. Travel and housing are prepaid, and malpractice coverage is provided with licensing assistance and cost

Qualifications

• Trauma surgery and laparoscopic surgery skills required.
• GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and hernia repair required.
• Adult patients only; pediatric and neonate not required.
• Inpatient and outpatient rounding experience.
• 5 patients seen per 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Cover Thu-Sun, 24-hour shifts with 30-minute call response time.
• Perform trauma and general surgery coverage for adult patients.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient rounding.
