Job summary

OCT Consulting LLC is seeking a Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist to support a federal client’s cost management and monthly billing processes. The role involves data gathering, variance analysis, and reporting for multiple customer organizations within a shared services framework.

The position requires 3–6 years in financial reporting/analysis, strong Excel skills (pivot, vlookup, Power Query), SQL, and familiarity with cost modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, data analytics, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in data analytics, finance, or public policy.
• 3–6 years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, or federal financial operations.
• Demonstrated experience with activity-based cost modeling and cost model development.

Responsibilities

• Gather monthly cost and workload inputs from process owners and run the monthly billing model.
• Compare monthly results with prior periods and investigate anomalies.
• Prepare monthly activity reports, contracts, and expense analyses.
• Perform quarterly cost per vendor invoice calculations and prepare reports.
• Conduct annual reassessment of shared services amounts and analyze workloads.
